  • So what's next for the S Clubbers.
S Club singers Rachel Stevens and Jo O'Meara have said they want to pursue their own music careers following the announcement of the group's split. In a TV interview Stevens, 25, said she would "love to go solo", while O'Meara, 23, said: "I would like to go solo, definitely."
The pair told GMTV there would be no competition between the two of them as solo performers.
Jo said she would not let the pain of a debilitating back condition get in the way of her career. "With the stuff that I would like to do afterwards, it doesn't involve dancing anyway," she said. "It's a different thing, it's not very poppy. It's kind of country, Karen Carpenter-y."
The band denied there had been any acrimony in their split.
Hannah Spearritt, 22, who intends to pursue acting, said: "It's like any job, you come to the end when you just want to move on to something else. We're not fed up of each other, even though we're really looking forward to being on our own, and we're going out while we still enjoy it, because we are still enjoying it now, we don't want it to get to that eggy stage. And that's the really nice thing, that we're all really good friends, so there's no animosity."
Rachel, who insists no date has been set for her marriage to Holby City heart-throb Jeremy Edwards, said about the announcement of the split: "We were all so nervous, it was just not knowing how the fans were going to react."
Tina Barrett, 26, said she wanted to have a go at music, writing and acting, Jon Lee, 20, said he would like to go into the theatre, while Bradley McIntosh, 21, said he was concentrating on publishing and writing.
  • It's over

The time has come. S Club have announced that at the end of their May tour, they will be calling it quits.
The band have been going for five very successful year. Had numerous hits in the pop charts and have even managed to grab a couple of Brit Awards while they've been at it.
It hasn't all been smooth sailing though, having been working up to 18 hour days, with their songs and their hit television series and even this year have been working on their movie which is out now. They've had to survive the loss of a member (Paul) and cope with out their strongest girl Jo.
But somehow they've always come out looking happy, energetic, sexy and have continued to entertain us.
The band are happy to be parting on good terms, claiming they'll remain friends and some of the members have lead on to believe they'll be pursuing solo careers. During one of their recent concerts as the band were singing what will be their final single 'Say Goodbye' Rachel and Jo were clearly crying as they held hands throughout the song. (So much for the bitter disputes some of the papers are ranting on about!)

But there's scandal surrounding the bands end. Simon Fuller the bands manager will walk away with a staggering £50 million. Whereas the poor S Clubbers will be leaving with a measley £540,000. Though this may seem a lot, considering the money they have produces through record sales etc they are getting peanuts of what they are really worth.
Simon has never had a particually good reputation, aparently having a fling with Baby Spice that turned bad (thus the Spice Girls departure from his managment). I personally think it disgusting to think that S Club after all their amazing and dedicated hard work are walking away a good distance from being millionaires, when they thoroughly deserve to be.
Fantastically Hannahs father is taking Simon to court. He has expressed his disgust that the 'kids' are receiving such appauling amounts. He has his lawyer going through tonnes of paperwork including contracts to look for a way to get the S Clubber a fairer share of what the band has produced.
I just hope their solo projects will bring them the fortune they've rightly earned.

So to all the S Clubbers. I wish you all the best. I hope we'll be seeing more of you and while you continue about your various careers, I'll keep a follow on what your up to and will continue to support each one of you. Thank you for giving me the inspiration to want to follow your band and for the fantastic music and entertainment you've provided to your millions of fans all over the world.

  • 19/04/03 - Poor Jo has revealed that a body double had to be used in certain scenes of S Clubs film 'Seeing Double' to replace her. It was because of her back limiting what movements she could make. For example jumping off things and fast movements had to be done by her double. Jo says that the poor make-up artist had a bit of trouble replicating Jo with all her tatoos!

  • 19/04/03 - Jo has told Top of the Pops magazine that the band grueling schedule caused a few silly scraps between the exhausted S Club members. An example Jo gave was: "Me and Rachel had such a row once over her making herself a cup of tea and not making me one," the blonde beauty told Top Of The Pops. "We ended up laughing over it, but when we're on the road and we're working so blimmin' hard, we get ratty because we're tired and homesick, so we end up screaming at each other! But you've got to have that to have a good working relationship."

  • 17/04/03 - Wow! The S Clubbers sure made an entrance at the premiere of Seeing Double at London's Leicester Square. Rachel and Tina sporting fantastic dresses, Tinas by far the most daring, from designer Scott Henshall. Tina admitted the dress took her 15 minutes to get into, had a lot of strategically placed double sided tape and that she was freezing as she braved the cold London weather.
Finally Jo is making her way back into the spotlight, as she turned up to the premiere in a black pant suit with a pink scarf, looking fantastic. The boys turned up looking mighty fancy in black shirts and pants.

  • Yay! Finally Jo makes her presence felt, she has just done interviews for various newspapers and magazines, correcting and rebutting some of the stupid rumours that have been spread over the past few months. Including the rumour that she has a gambling problem (not true)and also on the future of both S Club and for herself (when S Clubs done, she plans to start a solo career (yay!)). She has said she's looking forward to the bands upcoming tour and is looking forward to her full recovery. She is still taking it easy as her back problem gradually improves.

  • The entire s club gang are thoroughly excited about the release of their debut movie 'Seeing Double'. They insist that this movie is more mature than they've appeared in their tv serie's and is aimed at a wider range of age groups.
The movie shows s club stripping their squeaky clean image as they get tied up with the police and even get snapped for sneaking out of a hotel without paying the bill (there must be an explination for that, surely!)But those of you that worry, let Brad set your mind at rest - "Some of our fans will be surprised to see us in jail but they needn’t worry. We haven’t turned into movie baddies and it sets the crazy tone for the rest of the film."
Plus to add to the start studded line up, rumour has is that Gareth Gates will be making an appearance in the movie.
The movie is due out in April and frankly.. I can't wait!

  • Jo is all set to joint the band on their 2003 UK tour due to kick off next month. Not fully recovered from her back problems Jo is ensuring she continues to take it easy, with dance routines having been modified to make life easier for our poor Jo.
But never fear, the show will still be a goodie. The rest of the band will be as energetic as ever and to keep up the positive S Club vibe, the band will be accompanied by the S Club Juniors.

If you don't yet have a ticket and you're near a venue the band'll be performing at. Get a ticket! Or you'll be missing a must see show (plus you'll get to see and hear s clubs new line up of songs!)

  • Han Rach and Tina have been out preparing to promote a campaign for breast cancer awareness. The trio have recently undergone a photo shoot sporting black t shirts with green targets. Aparently the girls also added a wee touch of their own to the tees. Can't wait to see 'em!

  • The new movie Seeing Double is out very soon and the S Club camp is gearing up for promotions, premiers and much more time in the public eye than they've been spending over the last couple of months!
The band are all extremely excited about the release of their upcoming movie. Some critics however are viewing the movie as the next Spiceworld. Lets hope the group can prove them wrong!
The movie comes out in April this year.

  • Well the band are currently taking a well earned 3 week break. So there's very little news on what's happening to them. So keep tuning in and I'll be sure to let you know when the S Clubbers get back to business!

  • S CLUB have it all — looks, fame and fortune — but their annual Christmas visit to a hospital for sick children is the highlight of their year.

It's lovely to see that the s clubbers managed to take time out of their well earned holidays to spend time with some of the sick children at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital. Hannah said she found the experience rewarding and loved going there, however at the same time found the experience terribly upsetting to see all of the sick children that couldn't be at home for christmas.
Naturally the kids were overjoyed to see some of their favourite pop stars, as the band spent time with them, signing autographs and helping out where they could.
Rachel - “It’s an amazing feeling to see their eyes light up when they see us. Anything we can do to help is wonderful.” Jon also found the visit affected him, saying - how he felt so selfish with everything he has “It puts everything into perspective.”

  • Unfortunately S Clubs new album hasn't hit the UK charts with a bang like the past few albums, entering at a disappointing number 17. The charts are very competitive with some strong bands as the competition at the moment. But if all you S Club fans keep buying the album maybe we'll see some changes in the charts!

  • Here's an update from Jo on her progress with her bad back.
"I really miss the band and when I see them on telly without me, it's really horrible. I have to turn it off!"
She also says she's getting much better. "I'm doing lots of physio which is really helping and I'm doing a fair bit of exercise looking after my horses too which helps. I've just got two new rescue Shetland ponies and they're just lovely."
And that's not the only new addition to Jo's household. "I've got a new puppy too, she's a gorgeous little Labrador pup called Pippa and she's keeping me pretty busy but I can't wait to get back to work. It makes me laugh to read stories in the papers about us splitting up when we're dead excited about all the stuff that's coming up next year. I just want to let all the fans know that I'll be back with the band soon and no, S Club aren't splitting up!"

  • Not alot of S Club news at the moment.
It has been realised that Jo's back problem could become very serious if she isn't very careful, which luckily she is being, having seen a number of doctors. Sources have said that if Jo isn't careful she could end up in a wheelchair. Lets all hope she'll be ok.

  • Alive has hit the UK charts making it to No 5. Not brilliant but still it's not that bad. The albumn also hasn't done too well, but it is doing better than originally expected by critics so at least the band proved them wrong!

Another thing that I find really interesting is that in my poll for your favourite song, alive is the song that's been on the list for the shortest amount of time and yet it is winning as your favourite song.

  • Paul puts things straight
Yes ex s clubber Paul has said that S Club are not about to call it quits. He says that he's spoken to both Hannah and Jon and both were upset about the rumours that have been spread about the band breaking up after the release of their upcoming movie.
So it seems safe for now to say that S Club will be sticking around for a bit longer yet.

  • Ok now there has been speculation and questions have been raised reguarding S Clubs future. Some sources have said that the band are planning to call it quits after they've finished their upcoming tour next year.
Reports say that the band have had enough of their pop dream and think it may be best they end on a high note.
I have a piece of advice. This could very easily be absolute bollocks. Wait for something official. I'll keep an ear out but remember with tabloids you shouldn't always believe what you read.

  • Another claim that I personally think is rubbish is that Jo got rather grumpy when Rach took over lead vocals for the new single 'Alive'. Jo has said “Rachel has only re-recorded it for TV. It’s going to be me on the album and me in the video.
I’m still around. You can’t get rid of me that easily!”

  • Here are the covers of the new S Club single 'Alive' and the new album cover.

  • Rach Makin it Big!
While screening the new movie, Rachel was offered an opportunity that she just couldn't refuse. A role in a Hollywood $10 million movie, an Rach alone will be receiving a 6 figure pay check. Nice!
Rach will be playing a demanding diva who is part of a fictional pop group called 'M5'. Rachel has said she's very excited about the part, though insists the character she's playing is nothing like her in real life!

  • S Club recently attempted to break a world record. This was by taking part in a Chinese Whisper chain to fundraise for the ChildLine charity in Jubilee Park in London.
The S Clubbers started off the chain, the message being "Are you listening to children and young people?". 365 people took part and with the world record being 296 it looks like the s clubbers have made a mark for the Guinness Book of World Records!

  • Some horrible news has just been announced from S Clubs spokesperson relating to Jo. Poor Jo has been having a terrible time with her back and will not be able to perform for the remainder of the year. No dancing, singing or performing were the doctors orders. The back problem is a hereditory condition that is treatable with lots of rest and wisely Jo is taking the doctors advice and resting up so that she'll be fit for S Clubs tour next year.
So we can expect to see S Club as a 5 in outings and performances for the remainder of the year. Jo wont be completely out of the public eye as she has said that she will making appearances for interviews and photo shoots.
Rumour naturally spread that Jo's absence from the group in recent outings means Jo's left the band, but be assured this is rubbsih, Jo has no intention to leave the band expecially with the tour coming up next year.
So a huge GET WELL SOON goes out to Jo, lets hope she manages to get over her problem quickly and that we'll be seeing her back up on that stage in no time at all!

  • A source has contacted me recently pointing out that Jo has been spotted without her engagement ring on. I'm not sure what this means but lets hope Jo's relationship with Lee hasn't come to an end. It is known that the weding has been postphoned in that Jo has been to busy to arrange the weding etc. So I'll leave it to you to come up with your own conclusion.( Thank you Melanie Lafleche (www.sclubwebnet.cjb.net) for pointing this out to me!)

  • Congrats to Rachel who recently was crowned Cosmo girl of the year! You go girl!

    Greetings from LA!
    Hey everybody, S Club here!
How's it going? Just thought we'd drop you a line from sunny LA - it's a hard life!
So what's new with us? Well, after we got back from filming the new TV series out in Barcelona, we had a bit of time off at home. It was great to catch up with our friends and family and have a really chilled time, but now it's back to work - and we've got loads of cool stuff coming up for you!
At the moment we're busy getting ready to shoot the video for our new single, which will be coming your way later this year. We've also been working on a new look, which we think you'll agree is pretty funky! And did you know the new single is called "Alive"? Can't wait for you to hear it...
And that's not all! We're also getting really excited about starting work on our first-ever movie while we're out here. It's a really exciting time because filming a movie is all new to us but a bit nerve-wracking too! We just hope you're going to love the finished product!
So you'll be hearing a lot more from us really soon but in the meantime, keep track of what we're up to by checking out www.sclub.com.
    Take care!
    Love, S Club x

  • Poor Jo hasn't been able to make a few appearances lately due to an injury. She has somehow hurt her back. I'm not sure how or when it happened, but lets just hope that she starts feeling better very soon.

  • Another sorry! Bradley was the person who announced that S Clubs new single 'Alive' would be realeased on September 11 (not surprisingly causing a bit of a stir) Jo has corrected him saying the band are definatley not relaeseing the single on September 11, but on November 11.

  • Sorry my mistake, Jo's new single will not be 'Different Kind Of People', but 'Every Kinda People'. The single will be found on the soundtrack for the new movie The Guru. The soundtrack will be released in the UK this upcoming Monday, August 19th and it's currently unclear if there will be an actual CD single for the track. I'll keep you posted
  • S Club have announced that the next single they'll be releasing is called 'Alive'! With Brad singing lead vocals it's bound to do well, S Clubs first release with out Paul.
Strangely the release date is on September 11th. Maybe the single will be a tribute to the victims of the terrible attack that occured in America last year. Who knows, we'll just have to wait and see.

  • JO IS NOT LEAVING S CLUB.
Now lets get this clear. Papers love to make up stories. Any sign of a frown on a celebs face, the papers claim they're depressed. I personally think that the fact that Jo is releasing a solo single (see below) gives the papers the idea that S Club has become weak and that Jo wants to leave the band. There has been no official announcement of Jo leaving and with a movie in the process of being made I think it's highly unlikely Jo will be leaving at this stage.
  • Jo releases solo single
Jo from S Club is about to release her first solo single - but fan's needn't worry, she's not leaving the band.
Her new tune is called "Different Kind of People". Jo is taking a bit of time off to get the track rolling but insists she will not be leaving the band.
"There's still so much to do with the band. We've got loads of stuff this year - we're got a movie, the series, an album, a tour. There's still a lot of life left in S Club," she said.
But the star did confirm she would like to go solo one day: "I'm sure after S Club I'll go on my own," she said.
Fans of the band were worried Jo's solo release could mean she may leave the band, like former band member Paul Cattermole.
But Jo reassures us that although Paul's left S Club are now stronger than ever:
"Paul's happy now, and we're all happy and getting on better than ever. We get closer everyday and our stuff gets better everyday. We're pretty strong," said Jo.
But Jo did admit it was different working without the other five.
"It's kind of weird not having the rest of the band around but in a way it's kind of nice to not have Bradley rapping in my ear all day!" she said.
Jo's solo single, Different kind of people, is out in September. S Club's new release will be on sale in October.

  • S Club have just recorded a cover of Elton Johns 'Can you feel the love tonight?'. The song will be appearing on an upcoming compliation album called Disney Mania. Other artists featuring on the album incolde Britney Spears, NSYNC and Ronan Keiting. It'll be worth checking out cos it's S Clubs first song as a 6!

  • Finally S Club are taking a well earned week off having just finished filming their 4th tv series! After their short break S Club will be heading off to North America for a mini tour. And all you lovely UK fans can expect to see the new show airing around mid summer.

  • Poor S Club are now in Spain shooting the second half of their new TV series. Why do I say poor S Club? Because they're finding the process of filming with out Paul and learning new dance routines for six rather than seven rather strange. Brad has said that Pauls absence is greatly felt by the group. It's nice to know they're missing him. There aren't many pop groups around that lose members and admit that the members absence is not going unnoticed.

  • It looks like Jo's setting out for yet another new hair do. This piccy shows that yes Jo is growing her hair and man does she look great! I also noticed in S Clubs performance at Party in the park that Jo is looking in terrific shape at the moment! I haven't seen her bare her midrift like she did in that concert for quite some time. You go girl!!

  • Jo and Rachel recently made an appearance on a new show called 'Much Music Talks' And it wasn't just an ordinary interveiw. The pair were speaking up about bullying. Jo in past had a terrible time with bullying while she was at school, so understandibly she is trying to really put out the message of the harm it can do and how to deal with bullying when it's being aimed at you.

  • Only a month to go until s club wrap up the filming of their 4th TV series in Barcelona. Can't wait to see the result!

  • Great news for all UK S Clubber fanatics!
S Club will be doing a 2003 tour throughout Britan commencing 2 April! The tour has been titled 'S Club United'. (Could this be a hint of S Clubs new name?) Start buying your tickets soon cos you wont want to miss the gang performing what they say will be a better concert than ever before!

  • Paul goes out with a bang

Paul has come to the end of his time as a member if S Club, and his final appearance with the band, was a good one.
The band have just done a performance at the 'Party in the Palace' in Jubilee.
Paul stated after their brilliant performance "I couldn't have asked for a better way to go out,"
Paul announced he would be leaving the band earlier this year and now has plans to revive his highschool rock band Skua.

There was also a bit of drama when the band were performing at the Jubilee concert, fireworks let off mid song reportadly gave the band a heck of a fright. Tina revealed that she has concerns that she was going to go up in smoke!
But their concerns went unnoticed by the audience who say the bands final performance as a 7 was a good one.

  • Who will they be?
Bad new for the S Clubbers, the bands new name 'S Club' can not be used to release any future singles or albums. The reason? Another band in Germany has already registered themselves under that name. So what will they do? S Club 7 still? S Club 6 (yuck)? We'll just have to wait and see what they come up with.

  • Rachel has done it again! This year Rachel came 2nd in the FHM sexiest female poll with Anna Kornikova beating her to the post. Hannah and Tina were also in the top 100, Hannah at 17 and Tina 57. Stuff girlies!!
  • For all those Hannah fans out there, Hannah is NOT planing/trying to leave S Club. Reliable sources have confirmed that this is a rumour and in fact if Hannah tried to leave the band now she would be breaching her contract, which she and the rest of S Club have recently signed. This contract has made them all millionaires and has got them to promise to stay with the band for a few more years.

  • Happy Birthday Jo!

29th of April was a special day for our Jo who turns 23! Three days after Jon who turned 20 on the 26th of April. A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to both of them! Big parties in the S Club camp I imagine!

  • Paul will be officially leaving S Club 7 in June. He has aggreed to stay on board for the filming of the new series in Barcelona, then he'll be heading off to do his own thing.

  • When the S Clubbers last had a bit of time off most of them took advantage of relaxing out in the sun and working on their tans, all that is but Jo. Jo was on the road practicing for her driving test! And all that practice payed off cos she passed!
Here's what she had to say: "Yep, I'm dead chuffed, especially 'cause I passed first time. Who said women don'take good drivers!?"

  • Heres something to give you an idea of how small Rachel is. When having a picture taken with the S Club juniors poor Rach had to stand on a copy of the yellow pages to stop her being shorter than some of the 11-14 year olds! She was even wearing heels!

  • The S Clubbers are currently taking a well deserved 3 week holiday. This is what the gang have said they plan to do with their spare time.
Jo plans to spend the time at home with her family, Jon will be at home and plans to spend more time in the recording studio, Hannah will be spending time with Paul, Tina will be making the best of her break in the Canary Islands, like Bradley who has similar plans to relax but in the Bahamas (sounds fab!) and lastly Rachel will be spending time with her fiance' Jeremy!

  • Poor Rachel and Jeremy are having a great amount of trouble finding spare time to be together. The three weeks Rachel has off will be good for them but Jeremy has said recently that he also has a hectic schedule, so when Rachel has a bit of spare time it doesn't necessarily mean he has the time off as well.
This is making it difficult for the pair to make their wedding plans. Jeremy said he wants them to be able to go away on a holiday for their honeymoon but at the moment the two of them getting time off at the same time seems unlikely.

  • GUTTED!
S Clubs latest single 'You' made it to number 2 in Britian. Enrique Iglesias hit em off top spot with his new single 'Hero'. A shame for S Club as being 2nd get a heck of a lot less money than coming in 1st.
    HOWEVER
The remining 6 S Clubbers have re newed their contracts with manager Simon Fuller and their record company. This will make all the S Clubbers millionaires! Fantastic news after the recent news which revealed that after months of hard work the S Clubbers were receiving a lot less money than other bands such as Westlife who have working on far less hectic schedules.
(Paul didn't time his departure all that well did he?!)

  • Jo has announced that her engagement to Lee is now off. The pair insist they are still together but Jo's hectic schedule has recently put on a lot of strain on their relationship with Jo juggling wedding plans and pop stardom. Jo stated that they've starting arguing more than usual and thus she feels it would be better to lay off wedding plans until she has more time to focus on their future together.

  • Rachel to get Married.
Rachel and long time boyfriend Jeremy have recently anounced their plans to marry. No official photo has been released yet of Rach's ring, but it has been confirmed that the engagement this time is real! Rachels first outing since announcing the engagement was at the premier of Britneys new movie 'Crossroads' with Hannah and Tina.

  • Pauls Shock Announcement.
Paul has announced he is officially leaving S Club 7. He plans to restart a band he was a part of in high school, and was the lead singer of. He insists that he is parting on good terms with the band and the reason is simply that he feels in his heart a passion for rock music and that fame at times can be too much. He's said that while on tour in the past he has felt depressed and that he feels the need to move on.
The remaining band are supportive of his decision to leave and have decided not to adopt a new 7th member but remain as a 6 where they'll take up the name "S Club".
Paul has agreed to take part in the filming of the 4th tv series to be filmed in Barcelona. He will also feature on the 4th S Club album in two of the tracks.

I would personally like to say that Paul has been a valuable part of S Club 7 and that is a terrible shame to hear of his departure. I wish him all the best of luck for the future and I dearly hope that the remaining members of the band remember him in a positive light and that they can stand strong as a 6 pack.
